Lightbody Pilgrimages

A Sacred Journey Through Silence, Symbol, and Land.

For thousands of years people journeyed into mountains, forests, deserts, rivers, caves, and sacred places seeking wisdom, meaning, guidance, and transformation.

The pilgrimage returns.

Meet Your Guide

My name is Nicolas Lightbody, founder of Lightbody Jewellery.

For nearly forty years I have wandered the wild places of Aotearoa, learning from mountains, rivers, forests, and forgotten paths.

Lightbody began by creating meaningful jewellery rich with symbolism and story. These pilgrimages are the next step in that journey, taking people beyond the artefacts and back to the source of the lessons themselves.

Supported By The Lightbody Team

Alongside Nicolas is Poppy Lightbody.

With over eight years of experience helping people explore the world through international travel, Poppy brings a wealth of knowledge in planning meaningful journeys and creating memorable experiences.

While Nicolas leads the pilgrimage itself, Poppy helps ensure each journey is welcoming, comfortable, and thoughtfully organised from beginning to end.

Something Has Been Forgotton

Many people feel it. The endless noise. The scrolling. The rush. The strange feeling that something important has been lost. Not information, but connection. To nature. To wonder. To the world around us.

What Is A Lightbody Pilgrimage?

A Lightbody Pilgrimage is a purposeful journey of moral or spiritual significance to a sacred location. Together we walk, observe, share stories, reflect, and learn directly from the land itself. The destination is only part of the journey. What matters most is what you notice along the way. This is not a tourist experience.

It is a pilgrimage.
